The Hoover Middle School counseling program envisions a future where all of our students successfully navigate an ever-changing global society. Students show resilience in the face of obstacles, overcome barriers, and impact their communities in positive ways. Students are confident in their identities, while also respecting and embracing the diversity of others. Students are secure and happy in the postsecondary pathways that they are pursuing, and are thinkers, leaders, and creators.

What We Do

Hoover Middle School offers a comprehensive school counseling program, aligned with the American School Counselor Association’s National Model, that promotes student achievement.  This program is comprehensive in scope, preventative in design, and developmental in nature.  As an integral component of Hoover’s academic mission, the counseling program is driven by student data and based on standards in academic, college and career, and personal/social development

How we Can Help?

The counseling department works with students, families, teachers, and community resources to best serve the needs and interests of all students.
