ParentSquare

Check that your contact information is up-to-date in your Infinite Campus (IC) Parent Portal account. Follow these instructions to update your contact information or email parentportal@sjusd.org for help.

Once your information has been updated in Parent Portal, you should begin receiving ParentSquare messages. If your contact information is current and you are still not receiving ParentSquare messages, email helpdesk_technology@sjusd.org. 

Activating your ParentSquare account allows you to change your language and notification preferences, settings, and engage with your child(ren)’s teacher(s). If you do not activate your account, you will still receive ParentSquare notifications.

1. You should have received an email or text with a link to activate your account.
2. If you did not receive the activation email, visit ParentSquare.com , select log-in, enter your email address, and if it matches your email address in Parent Portal, you will be prompted to activate your account.

You have the option to access ParentSquare through a web browser or a mobile app. Downloading the ParentSquare app on your mobile device allows you to view ParentSquare posts and alerts directly on your phone.  Follow these simple steps to download the mobile app.

1. Download the ParentSquare app from the app store: iOS or Android
2. Check your email or text for the activation link
3. Sign-in and you’re ready to begin using ParentSquare

Language settings:

• Web browser: Click on your name, select "My Account" and then "Language Settings".  Choose your preferred language from the dropdown list.
• ParentSquare app: Tap the hamburger (three bar) menu in the top left, select "Account", then tap "Preferences", and tap "Language".

Notification settings:

• Web browser: Click on your name, select "My Account" and then "Notification Settings".  Select how and when you'd like to be notified. The "Digest" option will send a daily summary of all non-urgent messages in a single email at 6:00 p.m.
• ParentSquare app: Tap the hamburger (three bar) menu in the top left, select "Account", then tap "Preferences", and tap "Language".

For new accounts with preferences not yet set, Digest is the default setting for message delivery. Please update the settings if you prefer a different notification frequency.
